Our branch has a long standing partnership with Bravehearts and we’re happy to support the organisation through sponsorship and banking services. The Logan Community Bank® Branch recently donated $8,000 worth of grants to Bravehearts, while Bendigo Bank gave a further $5,000 to support White Balloon Day 2009. We recognise and value the contribution young people make to a community and believe our children have a right to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment.

 

 

ABC Learning Centres (GoodStart Child Care Ltd) throughout Australia have joined up to support Bravehearts and White Balloon Day! Events include Wear White Day, fun white balloon games, mural painting, white cupcakes, and morning teas! We admire ABC’s work to educate and protect Australia’s children and are very excited to have them onboard to support Bravehearts. I had admired Hetty Johnston and Bravehearts for many years and then Hetty and I connected a number of times at various events. When I was offered a position on the Board of Bravehearts, there was no decision to make. My answer was YES. Being on the Board of Bravehearts allows me to help make a difference in the lives of children who weren’t protected when they most needed it. Now they have Bravehearts to watch over them and help put the pieces of their lives back together. My networking events give me a great opportunity to support Bravehearts and help raise awareness of their work and connect Hetty with people she should meet. The team at Bravehearts are the most inspired, caring and passionate people you could meet. I hope to have the honour of working with them for a long time to come.

Salvos Stores are proud to be associated with the Bravehearts White Balloon Day 2010 campaign. The Salvation Army is at the forefront, dealing with child protection issues. Our churches, programs, community service centres and stores assist thousands of families and individuals in the community each week. Through this direct involvement in the community, our dedicated officers, staff and volunteers are acutely aware of the devastation caused by child abuse. AAMI has a long and proud history of sponsoring sport, industry and community events and organisations across Australia. One of AAMI’s long standing partnerships is with the NRL Referees, a sponsorship which includes 26 home and away games, as well as the State of Origin Series. Over the weekend of September 3 – 6, in front of capacity crowds at stadiums throughout QLD, NSW and VIC, all NRL Referees will take to the field carrying the Braveheart logo on their jerseys. AAMI is proud to assist Bravehearts in this small way promoting the invaluable work they do in the community.

 

 

The Brisbane Broncos has always fostered its corporate responsibility and in 1990 established the Brisbane Broncos Charities Fund. This fund has donated over $580,000 in the last decade towards assisting underprivileged and disadvantaged Queensland youth. In 2008 the Brisbane Broncos commenced another charity initiative whereby several charitable groups are selected and financially supported over a two year period. The manner and level of support is negotiated between the Broncos and the identified charity. Recently Brisbane Broncos in the Community was formed within the Brisbane Broncos Football Club to manage the Club's charity and community involvement. It is now under this program that the Brisbane Broncos sponsor Bravehearts. The Brisbane Broncos is very proud to be associated with Hetty and her team from Bravehearts

We at Insigniature Signs, are glad for the opportunity to support Bravehearts and the work they do helping the young and innocent overcome what must be a traumatic and horrifying part of their young lives. As a father myself, I find it hard to even consider the pain that must be borne by these children and their parents, and it is at least some small consolation to know there is somewhere they can turn to for support. Racing Queensland is proud to support White Balloon Day and more specifically, Highway Thunder. Racing Queensland is the controlling body for the thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing industries. The Queensland racing industry employs in excess of 30,000 full-time, part-time and casual Queenslanders and contributes $1.44 billion to the state economy. To coincide with Highway Thunder, Racing Queensland in conjunction with BOTRA, will conduct the Harness Racing Festival at Parkland immediately following the trip down the M1. All supporters of the Highway Thunder are welcome to join the free activities at the Harness Racing Festival.
